Blockchain Development Journey
Our journey began with experimenting across several EVM Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains, including participation in both the RootStock (RSK) Hactivator Program and the Stacks Ascent program. These experiences provided valuable insights into different blockchain architectures and development approaches. However, we encountered significant challenges including high ETH gas fees, difficulties with on-ramping and off-ramping RootStock RBTC, and similar accessibility issues with Stacks STX. Our decision to focus on Bitcoin and the Lightning Network was driven by these practical limitations and our commitment to providing truly accessible, low-cost solutions that align perfectly with our values of security, transparency, and instant transactions for Pacific Island communities.
